Major indoor events will take place again this weekend for the first time without corona measures. “That saves at least 20 people in staff for scanning the QR code and the tickets.”

That is what co-owner Ramon Luckers of the Music Dome in Kerkrade tells on Friday in the L1 Nieuwsshow.

‘Saving a lot’
Luckers is very happy that all restrictions are off the table. “During the carnival evenings, we had ten people to scan the QR code and another ten to scan the tickets. So we are now saving a lot on personnel costs.”

A lot of costs have just continued in recent times. “I am pleased that the municipality of Kerkrade has compensated part of the costs for deploying staff for checking the QR code.”

Substantial increase in costs
The costs of drinks and energy, among other things, have risen sharply, Luckers also notes. “But we want to burden our visitors as little as possible with this. Our ticket prices remain the same. Unfortunately, we cannot avoid passing on some of the price increases in consumer prices.”

Positive
The co-owner of the Music Dome looks positively to the future. “We cannot complain. With four events during Carnival, we have been able to welcome about 10,000 visitors. The club season is now coming to an end. The programming after the summer until the end of the year is already complete.”
