On May 11th, ABOUT YOU and Kevin Trapp will launch their second joint collection. With the new spring/summer styles, the professional soccer player is closer than ever and takes his fans with him on summer vacation. An editorial campaign including fashion highlights was inspired by relaxing days at the beach and pool. The 50 pieces of the new collection are exclusively available on aboutyou.com.
The spring/summer collection translates Kevin’s fashion-conscious style into summery designs: casual chic meets beach vibes and creates stylish all-rounders for warmer temperatures. Once again, it was important that all the pieces could be easily and arbitrarily combined with one another and that they were suitable for every occasion, from elegant to casual. In doing so, the professional soccer player is consistently pursuing his personal demands when it comes to fashion.
ABOUT YOU and Kevin Trapp have been working closely together since the beginning. The joint collection is developed from the design, through the selection of materials and cuts to production. “I was very pleased that the first collection was so well received and of course that motivated me even more to work on my second capsule collection. This time, too, I tried to incorporate the latest inspirations and trends from the fashion world into the collection and thus create unique summer looks,” explains Kevin Trapp.
The collection is presented in neutral colors such as beige, cognac, light khaki and blue, which can be ideally combined with fresh accent colors and, for Kevin, represent the ideal colors for summery men’s fashion. The casual cuts and comfortable materials, such as cotton and linen, follow one basic idea: fashion in which every modern man can appear stylish without much effort. In the collection, essentials meet urban statement pieces, creating the perfect basis for the Summer Wardrobe 2022. The result is a collection that has all the must-haves for the warm months ready and at the same time appears completely natural and relaxed, like Kevin Trapp himself. His absolute highlight is a denim jacket made of green denim, which can be easily combined with the beige pieces of the collection.
The campaign shoot also picks up on the personal touch of the looks and focuses on Kevin Trapp and the collection in a set-up without any artificiality. Kevin himself acts absolutely authentically in front of the camera and presents his must-haves in a place where you can best feel the lightness of summer: by the sea in Portugal. Photographer Christina Ebenezer shot the professional soccer player on a quiet beach using a few simple objects. A mix of a private holiday atmosphere and a high-end fashion shoot illustrate the character of the campaign and provide inspiration for its fans over the summer. “We chose Portugal as the location because ABOUT YOU x Kevin Trapp reflects his personality and we want this to come out clearly in the campaign. Therefore, this country was an obvious choice for us – because what many may not know is that he also has an incredible talent for languages and speaks fluent Portuguese, among other things,” says Sofia Hagemeier, Team Lead Exclusive Cooperations at ABOUT YOU.
All 50 pieces will be available exclusively from ABOUT YOU from May 11, 2022 in sizes S to XXL. The styles cost between €29.00 and €99.00.
