Indigenous leaders from former British colonies want King Charles to officially apologize for the “centuries of racism, oppression, colonialism and slavery” suffered by their communities. The leaders of twelve countries of the Commonwealth of Nations write this today in a letter to the king. They also want financial compensation for what has been done to them in the name of the British crown.
