The indexation of pensions according to the level of real inflation, announced by the president, will most likely be carried out retroactively from January 1, said “RIA News” Elena Bibikova, Deputy Head of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy.

“Most likely, this indexation will be from January 1, we hope so. According to the existing law, the indexation of pensions is carried out from January 1, ”she said.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, in an interview with the agency, also noted that the pension indexation proposed by the president could be carried out retroactively.

“I believe that we can do everything quite quickly and extend the effect of the adopted norm retroactively, starting from January 1 of this year,” he said.
