Özcan Akyol is on the chopping block and RTL Boulevard is now even saying that it is ‘even more unlikely’ that he is telling the truth. “It’s weird. I think it’s so crazy.”
Matthijs van Nieuwkerk was thrown under the bus in a very violent way by Özcan Akyol, until recently his TVbestie. Suddenly the columnist has turned his back on the fallen TV star. The reason? He says he has seen a video in which the DWDD celebrity misbehaves terribly. Is that news? No, that is already widely circulated, according to Eus.
What does Heleen know?
One thing is now certain: the video is not being circulated en masse in Hilversum. So that part of Eus’ story is incorrect. And does the video even exist? There are also a lot of doubts about this, although Eus continues to hold on to it. According to him, these are images that were shot for the DWDD documentary from 2015, but which have never been used.
Ratings authority Tina Nijkamp knows who to contact, she writes on her channel. “Perhaps the director of that documentary knows more: Heleen Minderaa. In any case, we have never heard her in the entire DWDD story. While the DWDD documentary is no longer available and she must have seen a lot of the atmosphere.”
‘She’s not amused!’
Well, that’s exactly what RTL Boulevard has done: seek redress from Heleen. “Those raw images, that’s what it’s all about. That documentary was broadcast, but something would have been extracted from it. Today we spoke to the maker of that documentary,” said presenter Luuk Ikink.
Colleague Rob Goossens: “And it was not amused with the bell from our editor. She was like, why are you calling me and why am I being dragged into this? She says she was the only one who ever saw those raw images, that it was all destroyed long ago.”
‘Eus is a liar’
According to Heleen, those images cannot be circulated at all. “And if such images existed, she says that she would have put it in that documentary, because it would have given an interesting picture of Matthijs van Nieuwkerk. This makes it even more unlikely that that video exists,” says Rob.
And thus he indirectly says that it is increasingly likely that Özcan is a liar. “It’s weird. I think it’s so crazy,” says Luuk. And Rob: “Bizarre, right?”
“Save yourself!”
Johan Derksen previously expressed his doubts about his VI colleague. He will not stand up for Özcan, he says in the latest Today Inside. “Yes, I don’t get involved. Let Eus save himself. (…) I think Matthijs should record a tape to save Eus. Just shout.”
In any case, it is lame that Özcan dropped Matthijs like that, says Johan. “It’s bothering Eus, because he is now being attacked from all sides for making it his own way.”
‘That goes too far’
Table guest Job Knoester still has confidence in Eus. “I think… To call someone a liar… No, not you, but that Vlas, what’s his name, that Victor Vlas or something…,” said the criminal lawyer, who refers to media expert Victor Vlam. The men of VI apparently despise him and therefore always pretend that they do not know his name.
Job concludes: “Eus told that here or to Humberto and if he tells that, you have to assume that it is correct.”
