There is a win-win situation in Dorpsstraat. The Praktijkcollege Zoetermeer has a learning and practical shop in the former Spel en Meer building Made by School opened. Students gain practical experience there while we can shop, work flexibly, drink coffee, have something printed or have our nails done.
Instructors Ed la Croix and Moreno Zwarteveld from the Praktijkcollege Zoetermeer keep the shop running. They ensure staffing, a varied range and the appearance of the store. All in consultation with the students. Find out how below and on the following pages Made by School looks like from the inside.
Gift shop
Just past the entrance you will find the gift shop where you can buy original gifts. Think of wood carvings, wine boxes, jewelry and candy packaging. Most of it is made by students and they also wrap the gifts festively.

Clothing store
In the Made by School clothing store there are sweaters and T-shirts with striking texts. On request you can have one or more items of clothing printed with your own image or text. Ed wants to come up with suitable texts for the garments and have them printed for special occasions, such as King’s Day or Christmas.

At school, students cook fresh meals every day for the school restaurant. These meals, such as lasagna and roti, will soon be in the refrigerator in the store. From then on you can also buy them.
