I wonder what the Russian people actually get from the situation in Ukraine. Do they only hear what Putin wants them to hear, so that the invasion of Ukraine is a necessary peacekeeping mission? Or do they get a more balanced picture because they also read Western media? Since Putin came to power, Russians have been served almost nothing but propaganda from the Kremlin for two decades. There have always been very few independent media with a dissenting voice. Logical, because any counter voice leads to reprisals, or worse.
