Where’s the alternative transport? The replacement traffic between Teltow and Südkreuz causes some confusion among passengers.
The S-Bahn lines S 25 and S 26 between Südkreuz and Teltow Stadt have been interrupted since Tuesday. The reason is construction work on the Dresden railway.
Although there are replacement buses, there is a great deal of confusion: many rail customers had no idea when and from where the buses were leaving. Many didn’t know about the replacement service and waited in vain at the platforms. Here the S-Bahn slows itself down!
Jens Wieseke (57), spokesman for the passenger association IGEB, criticizes: “On the first day of the rail replacement service, staff must be present at every stop that is not used to inform customers about the replacement service and to help them to get to the new stop find,” he says.
Wieseke continues: “In addition, the replacement buses must be located as close as possible to the actual bus stop.” It cannot be that the replacement bus stop at Osdorfer Straße station is 900 meters from the actual S-Bahn stop: “That’s mainly for handicapped people unacceptable.”
The sad result after the first day: railway staff was only at the Teltow Stadt station. Passengers on the Osdorfer Straße and other train stations were left alone. They had overlooked the nondescript information sign at the entrance.
The confusion lasts for the time being, the S 25 and S 26 will not run again until September 2nd.
