The fight for a city council post for the Spandau AfD continues. Even in the seventh ballot, AfD politician Andreas Otti (53) did not obtain the required majority in the district parliament (BVV).
He missed the necessary 26 votes in the postal vote. Six decreed voted for, 43 against Otti. The district office announced on Friday.
The AfD parliamentary group had already lodged complaints with the district mayor and the governing mayor against the previous six unsuccessful ballots. Reason: According to district administration law, you have the right to nominate a district councillor.
The interior administration disagrees. Accordingly, the BVV is not obliged to elect a person according to the nomination.
If the required majority of votes is repeatedly not achieved, an alternative candidate must be found.
