In the picture: Rain does not harm visitors to Hoogeveen City Festival

A poncho was not superfluous, especially during the day, but despite the rain, thousands of people came to the Hoogeveen City Festival. It was the second edition of the one-day music festival and the organization is very satisfied afterwards.

“You have more than surpassed the previous edition, what a fantastic day this was,” the organization writes on Facebook.

The Stadsfestival could be followed live on Radio and TV Drenthe yesterday. There were performances by Bouke & The Elvis Matters Band, Suzan & Freek, MEAU and Jett Rebel, among others. Last year was the first time that the City Festival was held, when the festival attracted about 7500. This year the organization aimed at 10,000 visitors. The festival was completely sold out.

Photographer Kim Stellingwerf also walked around the festival site in Hoogeveen and made the photo report below.
