The Real Housewives Finland reality TV show does not feature any housewives.
The Real Housewives will get its Finnish version when the program hits the screens on February 14. Real Housewives is real housewives in Finnish, but despite its name, the program does not follow the lives of any housewives.
The women seen in the program say that they are career mothers, entrepreneurs or both.

The Real Housewives is originally an American format, the first episode of which was seen in 2006. The format has featured housewives from different cities and countries around the world. In Finland, the format has been shown, for example, seasons of The Perfect Women of Beverly Hills and The Perfect Women of New York.
In addition to this, a drama series has been shown in Finland Perfect women (Desperate Housewives), but despite the similar name, this series is not related to the reality TV format.
So, despite its name, the program is about five women who are not housewives.
– My view was that 2024 would have been appropriate to find a slightly more updated name that would describe us different personalities that are in the program, Mia continues.

– The main project for her is the women’s community Charlie Goes To. We organize events for women who can network, get inspired and develop their career ambitions. For example Sanna Marin was the last guest.
Mia says that it was great during the filming, how the friendship with the different main stars of the show developed and how she learned something from everyone.
– We have very few programs that offer stories about women. It was an interesting opportunity to show different personalities, different family situations and views.
In the original versions, the women argue violently in places, in Finland the arguing is more restrained.
– Disagreements are part of life, we discussed them, Mia says.

Ex-slut wife
Marjo Toskala44, has experience of being a housewife, although nowadays she works full time as an entrepreneur in the interior design industry.
Marjo, like the other women in the program, was asked to participate in the program.
– I was told that we have this kind of big format that we want to bring to Finland and that we are looking for women, contrary to what the name suggests, who do things themselves and are travelers on their own path, says Marjo.
She was particularly interested in the fact that the program includes women of different ages and in different life situations.
Marjo was once a married NHL goaltender Vesa Toskalan with, but the union ended more than 10 years ago and today Marjo is single.
– I have created leather again and “started over” as an entrepreneur in my thirties. I feel that I have a story that will hopefully inspire many, how life can change and change direction at any age.
Marjo says that she has, as it were, two lives. She has lived the life of a housewife as Vesa’s spouse.
– I am a single entrepreneur. I have no husband, no children, no animals. I have a few houseplants, but I manage to kill them too, Marjo laughs.

Entrepreneur and former miss Antira Ahtola says that he talks about matters important to him in the program.
– I hope that I was able to convey that everyone believes in themselves and goes towards their dreams and is unique just the way they are. I myself am very grateful that I have been able to make work out of my passion. I also bring the spiritual side of myself in the program.
Anitra has started energy therapy four years ago.
– For me, that has been a good form of therapy. Mental and physical well-being go hand in hand.
Antirakaan is not a housewife, she is an entrepreneur.
