In the Krasnodar Territory, a criminal case was opened against servicemen for slapping the monument to the dead soldiers during the training of combat techniques. About it it says on the website of the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“It was preliminarily established that one soldier demonstrated force techniques at the monument to the fallen wars, while the second soldier was filming what was happening,” the department said.

The case was opened under an article on public desecration of the symbols of Russia’s military glory, insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, using an information and telecommunications network, including the Internet, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (part 4 of Article 354 of the Criminal Code). The ultimate punishment for it is imprisonment for up to five years.

The incident took place in the Molkino farm, the monument was slapped by a conscript from Chechnya, reported Telegram channel Kub Mash. “The servicemen will be punished, of course, but since he is a conscript, no one has the right to fire him, but he will be brought to administrative responsibility, disciplinary,” Vadim Astafyev, press secretary of the Southern Military District, told the channel.
