In the future, Gerry Weber will only be a tenant in his own company headquarters

Gerry Weber is now a tenant in his own company headquarters.

The clothing supplier, which was converted into a limited liability company (GmbH) in 2023 after an eventful year, has sold its headquarters in Halle, Westphalia. However, the company does not have to move because Gerry Weber will remain in place as a tenant in the future.

Since Gerry Weber was converted into a GmbH, the previous shareholders Whitebox Advisors, Robus Capital and JP Morgan Chase became the owners of the company. They have now also decided on the sale of the headquarters, the clothing manufacturer confirmed when asked by FashionUnited. The industry magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on the sale.

The new owner of the building complex is Stuttgart-based Ekol Invest GmbH. This in turn will rent 16,000 square meters of the space to Gerry Weber in the future.

Renting out space within the building is not unusual, as even when it was still owned by Gerry Weber, around a third of the space was rented out. In addition, some areas were also empty, according to reports from Halle. The contracts with the existing tenants of the space will continue unchanged.
