Smartphone, laptop, tablet, VR glasses – all of these devices make life easier. But older people often find it difficult to do so. Goodbye technology frustration! BZ tells you how and where seniors can get fit online.
Tempelhof-Schöneberg Adult Education Center: She offers several courses to explain technical devices such as smartphones and tablets to older people from the ground up. The participants learn, among other things, how to operate them, how to use them to make calls, write text messages and everything about WLAN settings.
All exercise documents are available in paper form for 5 euros. Every participant must bring a smartphone or tablet. The course fee starts at 21 euros. More information at www.vhsit.berlin.de.
Seniors’ Club Lindenufer, Hakenfelde and Neuland: In cooperation with the qualified technological sociologist Timur Türemen, computer, smartphone and tablet courses for seniors are offered in these three facilities. Previous knowledge doesn’t matter.
You are welcome to bring your own equipment, otherwise you can also learn using the equipment on site. Course fee: 65 euros for five appointments of 1.5 hours each. Registrations and appointment requests can be made to the course leader on 0160 92 64 97 36 or to the seniors’ clubs.
Ina Küller digital: The focus here is on the individual. Ina Küller trains seniors in individual training either in Charlottenburg or directly at their home. Your goal: everyone should become confident and relaxed when using technology and smartphones. Küller also helps when purchasing equipment or with technical questions. Internet Café Senior Citizens Club Südpark: Every Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., volunteers help seniors in the open Internet café with all questions about computers and programs and show tricks. Visitors can bring their own laptops or use the in-house computers for practice.
