Saturday night’s Putousi featured Viikkokatsaus, as usual, which is a parody news broadcast. Actors acting as presenters Köpi Kallio and Lotta Wiklund.
– Valentine’s Day will be celebrated next Wednesday. Viikkokatsaus asked several Finnish public figures what Valentine’s Day means to them, Kallio explained in the program.
– First, we asked respondents to continue the sentence: Love is…, Wiklund said.
The sketch was a joke May Day Darkness answered that love is a “wonderful thing”, while the Prime Minister Petteri Orpo would have answered “the most important thing in the world”.
– Teemu Selänne replied “a matter between a man and a woman,” Wiklund stated, making the studio audience laugh.

The joke referred to the hockey legend’s comment this week on the X message service. Selänne commented the presidential candidate Pekka Haaviston and by Antonio Floser age difference.
– Here, of course, homosexuality is not a problem, but the age difference. The fact that an old guy is trying to hit on a really young boy. And this is not the only time. Is that ok with you? Well, as I said, each in his own style, Selänne wrote in the message service.
The hockey star received a lot of criticism for his comment. Some of the critics considered Selänte’s coming out homophobic.
– Teemu Selänte’s homophobic comments yesterday tell quite a lot about the level at which our “values discussion” can take place from time to time. Sad behavior from one of my childhood idols, a member of parliament from the leftist union and a former football professional Timo Furuholm wrote in X.
Haavisto commented on Selänte’s comments to Ilta-Sanom.
– It’s certainly good that the discussion is taking place. Maybe I personally think that in today’s world a registered relationship is no longer big news, Haavisto told IS.
