There has been one clear trend in renovation and yard programs this spring. The resident expresses a clear wish that the designer will not be fulfilled for one reason or another. This has happened in a cozy – times – a few times -, crap or moving in Finland and in the villa & Huussi.
However, the wish, or even a clear command, is not told to the customer. The end result is a surprise in the revelation phase. The same will be repeated today In the villa & huussi. Elina and Tendon In 2021, they bought a large cottage from Liesjärvi in Tammela, or perhaps a holiday home. The premises of the main building, completed in 1974, need renovation. The renovation is required by the kitchen, dining area and living room where Elina clearly tells what she doesn’t want there.

– It must have colors and courage, Elina further refines.

Interior architect Mikko Vesanen registers a wish and Anni Ihamäki, the presenter next door, takes up his imaginary notebook and is supposed to write down the wish. When the duo then heads to the couch stores, only one color emerges: the separately forbidden gray.

– Yes. Guess if this is excited about me? Mikko reveals that he takes a conscious risk.
– Pretty hard risk, Anni points out.
On the basis of the samples, Mikko is just considering gray light shades.
– Yes, this is going to be too much extra tension for me now. Reveals are always tough places for me. Now, a lot of emphasis is made to make decisions with a big hand, Mikko admits that the pounds are pushing.

Of course, Mikko, a professional, has a strong reason for the coloring of the sofa of their choice, but do the residents understand it? During the exposure phase, Mikko paves his actions that have been influenced by other color choices in the living room and maximizing the light.
– We originally wished the sofas specifically something other than light gray, Elina tells the cameras.
– But I have to say that it just knows Mikko. The light gray is the right color of the sofa, he is laughing.
The kitchen does not lack color. The round table of the dining area is made on a custom order. Message
While the coloring of the sofa is anything but bold, the kitchen has properly coloring the brush. It becomes dark green.
The massive fireplace that distributes a large space will be allowed to remain unchanged after reflection. Message
In the baseline, the living room furniture has not really found their place. It would be nice to be able to admire the fireplace, but the view out is also important, as well as watching TV. Message
