‘In the cell at Dutroux’: Dany Verstraeten looks back on a report that turned the country upside down

It is January 2002. The whole country is turned upside down after the Telefacts report in which Marc Dutroux is interviewed in his cell. Dutroux had invited senator Jean-Marie Dedecker for an interview in prison. Journalist Thomas Van Hemeledonck found out about this and was given permission to go with him. Van Hemeledonck was then able to record the conversation with a small recorder. What makes this report so unique? You hear a psychopath who tries to manipulate people from his cell and who wants to pass the blame for his heinous acts on others.
