F.celebrates its eighth edition the charity event born in 2011 from an idea by Giovanna Ferrero Ventimiglia and Lucrezia Borromeo Arese. This Saturday 15 October in Romenear the splendid Gardens of the General Command of the Carabinierian absolutely unique fundraising event will take place, aimed at children and families and dedicated to the friends and supporters of the Theodora Foundationwhich since 1995 brings moments of playing, listening and supporting children hospitalized, with the special visits of Doctor Dreamsprofessional artists, hired and specifically trained to work in highly complex pediatric hospital wards.

After the break imposed by the pandemic to events in the presence, 3 years after the last edition, friends and supporters of Theodora will finally be able to meet in person also in the capital, to support the mission of the Foundation.
Guests, after confirming their participation, are asked only to bring a towel to sit on the lawn, because they will receive everything they need for a picnic in the green in the name of joy and solidarity: a very tasty packed lunch to be consumed in company and a rich program of activities that will brighten the day with creative workshops, sports tournaments, music, entertainment, obviously with the participation of Doctor Dreams.

“We are extremely happy to be able to return to Rome with the “Theodora’s Picnic”»States Emanuela Basso Petrino, Managing Director of the Theodora Foundation. “It is an extraordinary event which, thanks to all the friends who participate in it and who support it, helps to guarantee the special visits of Doctor Sogni to the children admitted to the Roman hospitals where the Theodora Foundation is active. Our Dottor Sogni are artists with great sensitivity and listening skills. They do not intervene on the disease, which is managed by health personnel, but take care of the “healthy part” of the child, that part that needs to express itself through play, imagination, crying and smiling. All children need to give voice to their emotions, even in the hospital, because smiling makes them more peaceful and dreaming makes them stronger.“.
The “Theodora’s Pic-nic” will be held in Rome on Saturday 15 October 2022 from 12.00 at the Gardens of the General Command of the Carabinieri in Via Mafalda di Savoia 2.
