There was scathing commentary on today’s breakfast TV program Good Morning Britain as TV presenter Richard Madeley appeared briefly in the scandal-sparking documentary in which Brand is accused of rape and sexual assault, which he denies.

During the wild fire years around 2007, he appeared on the Channel 4 show Richard and Judy to promote his second autobiography, My Booky Wook 2. Madeley’s wife, Judy Finnegan, introduced her guest at the time with the words: “It’s a shockingly honest account of sex and drug addiction, bulimia and self-harm, written by Russell Brand – the endearingly innocent Russell Brand.”
