In pictures: Gerry Weber celebrates the reopening of Munich’s Viktualienmarkt

Clothing retailer Gerry Weber International AG has given its branch on Munich’s Viktualienmarkt a makeover. The company celebrated the reopening after several weeks of renovation work on Wednesday with invited guests, and the store has been open to customers again since Thursday.

The redesign follows Gerry Weber’s newly developed shopfitting concept, which had previously been tested in Münster. It is characterized by a clear design language, sustainable materials and some technical innovations.

After the debut in Munich, the store concept is to be used in other newly opened and reopened stores in the future. CEO Angelika Schindler-Obenhaus was delighted with the “successful premiere” in the Bavarian capital: “This is a good omen for the upcoming new openings,” she said in a statement.
