A large part of Drenthe wakes up this morning under a white layer of snow. That snow and the associated slipperiness cause problems on the road here and there, but of course also provide beautiful pictures.
The wet and somewhat dry snow mainly fell north of the imaginary line between Wijster and Emmen. If you want to shoot winter pictures there, you still have a good chance this morning. “Occasionally we get some clusters of snow,” expects RTV Drenthe weatherman Hans Nienhuis. “It is bleak and water cold today, with temperatures of 1 to 2 degrees.”
