Carhartt WIP has opened a new store in Florence. This makes Florence the fourth location of the US streetwear brand in Italy.
Carhartt WIP offers men’s and women’s fashion on an area of 135 square meters. The store will also be used for collaborations and other projects, Carhartt announced earlier this week. The store is located behind the Santa Maria de Fiore Cathedral and was designed by Milanese architect Andre Caputo.
For the opening, Carhartt WIP designed a t-shirt with a graphic inspired by the ll Porcellino bronze fountain in the heart of Florence. The t-shirt will be available in black and white in the new store.
Carhartt WIP is a streetwear offshoot of the US clothing brand Carhartt. Carhartt WIP regularly works with people in the music and sports sectors, collaborating with labels such as Patta, Vans and Junya Watanabe. The most recent cooperation with Civilist took place in August 2021.
