A 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé was auctioned earlier this month for a record price of 135 million euros. This has been confirmed by CEO Ola Källenius of the German car manufacturer. That makes it by far the most expensive car ever sold, although it is possible that privately even more was paid for a car.
