IN PICTURE. ‘Historical blizzard’ takes northern US hostage: snow carpet of more than 1.5 meters | Weather news

The blizzard leads to road closures and flight disruptions at Niagara International Airport the weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday. In some places in the region, movement is barely possible. There are also fears of damage to the infrastructure. Two people have died, presumably from heart failure while clearing snow.

In addition to parts of New York, the harsh weather has also hit the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. In total, more than 6 million inhabitants have been affected by the winter sting. The forecast is that the winter conditions will continue at least until Sunday, with only a short interruption now and then.
