The Jamies was ready for its second edition tonight. New this year, there were four new categories: Videographer, Emerging Talent, Best Video of the Year and TikTok Business complete the list of Vlog, Lifestyle, Dance & Music, Comedy, Explainer, TikTok, YouTube and De Kastiop Award for game streaming. The expansion is due to the talent pool of Flanders, which has grown considerably in one year. With the new categories, the organization was also able to give emerging or lesser-known talent the necessary attention.

After an initial exploratory round in which anyone could submit their favorite online video maker from the past year, The Jamies expert jury selected 10 names from nearly 5,000 entries for each category – 14 in total. Among the nominations were well-known Flemish people, established internet values and emerging talent. Names such as Tiany Kiriloff, Henk Rijckaert and Linde Merckpoel are among internet phenomena such as Acid, Average Rob, Flo Windey and Bockie De Repper.
Tonight’s winners were chosen by the public and the professional jury. Nora Gharib, William Boeva, film director Jonas Govaerts and MNM DJ Laura Govaerts were among the members of the jury. Moreover, the votes of the jury weighed just as much as those of the public. Only the Best Content Creator award was determined entirely by the public.
