Menno Vloon has done excellent business in Nevers, France. The pole vaulter from Krommenie jumped a height of 5.86 meters. With this he qualifies in one fell swoop for all international tournaments of this year.
With his jump, Vloon ensures his participation in the World Indoor Championships, World Championships outdoor and the European Championships outdoor. However, he was still ten centimeters below his personal best. That still stands at 5.96 meters. Vloon has set itself the goal of breaking the six-meter barrier soon.
The World Indoor Championships are scheduled from March 18 to 20 in Belgrade. Earlier, Lieke Klaver, Koen Smet, Liam van der Schaaf and Jessica Schilder qualified for the global final in the Serbian capital.
