“In my mind, I take nurses to the red carpet”

MP Susanne Päivärinta (kok) celebrated in the Linna in an evening dress made from the material of work clothes in the healthcare industry.

– I was very excited and taken when Medantan Taina Steiner got in touch and told about the idea, Päivärinta told Iltalehte before Wednesday’s Linna party.

Steiner is Medanta’s design director and co-founder.

The evening dress, which feels like silk, is made of Medanta microfiber fabric, which is used by healthcare professionals in their work clothes. The material developed by Medanta has recycled polyester and elastane.

– The suit feels like a second skin, Päivärinta described before the party.

Päivärinta has talked a lot about the value of nursing, and she wants to raise the value.

– In my mind, with that suit, I will take the nurses and nursing assistants to the Linna’s red carpet. Even on Independence Day, they work up to their necks.

The print pattern of the suit Lumière is a clothing designer Anssi Ruokoskoski a work that describes the light and hope that healthcare workers make possible.
