Music was his life, drumming was his passion. His family could not have summarized it better in the obituary that was printed in Dagblad van het Noorden on Saturday. Klaas Hummel started playing drums as a young boy and continued to do so throughout his life. ,,Last summer Bouke performed in the former zoo, the Rensenpark. My father, who had known Bouke for many years, was also there. It wasn’t long before he accompanied him on one of his songs behind the drum kit. There was no place where he felt more comfortable, no matter how old he was,” says son Theo.
