Drama was seen at the end of the time trials, but the situation did not end until the TV pictures.

The battle for pole position at the British GP is exciting. In the end, Ferrari took the longest lap Carlos Sainz.
The first pole position of the Spaniard’s career was a small surprise. The lap times improved all the time on a track that was always drying, but in this rough one they played the main role Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.
Sainz’s pole was secured when both Leclerc and Verstappen failed to improve their lap times in their final attempts.
The reason for this was not seen on TV. Leclerc spun and Verstappen had to take his foot off the gas because of the yellow flags.
Leclerc’s spin destroyed the pole dream once, but Verstappen’s fate sparked discussion on social media.
The Red Bull star drove several seconds away from Leclerc in the Monaco’s spinnate. The Ferrari was already pointing its nose in the direction of travel and the pace was okay, but for some reason the track officials still decided to flash yellow flags at the point to Verstappen, who had just arrived.
A video of the situation was published on Twitter.
With the yellow flags, Verstappen had to take his foot off the gas so much that, according to the telemetry, half a second was lost. Sainz took the pole position by 0.072 seconds.
