Jolanda Nijdam is having a good time today. “Now it is actually the nicest one. Tomorrow it is quiet here, because then everyone will go to Amsterdam and other places. The day before it is always the best here.”
Orange clothing and ‘old stuff’
Especially the orange clothing sells well today, several sellers say. Logical: if you want to belong on King’s Day, you will make a move today. That is also the case with the stall of Mechteld, Marjolein, Nicole and Irene. They had been looking forward to this day for three months.
“We have been gathering things for months,” says Nicole. The highlight of the stall is the retro shirts. “My husband always loves ‘old stuff’ and last year we bought old shirts. They always do very well.”
