On the proposal of Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Minister of Ministers approved the ambassador statement in the Western Hemisphere. This is only final if the host country has given its approval. The appointment will start from this summer.
The Rijksministerraad agreed with the appointment of the ambassador to the following post:
- Brazil, with Brasilia: Aldrik Gierveld, now Ambassador in general service strengthened engagement.
