The two bought the plot in 2006 and lived for another five years in the original, somewhat dilapidated house from 1914. When it literally and figuratively fell apart, Johan and Irma built their dream home. “It was a great time to get to know this place,” says Johan. “How is the sun, what is the ground like and what exactly do we want?”
