In the Italian Menaggio (Lombardy) on Lake Como, the villa of Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov was set on fire, the agency reports. ANSA and newspaper Corriere Della Sera.
According to ANSA sources, tires were used to set the fire, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
Corriere Della Sera notes that the villa was under renovation, the fire broke out at dawn. The police are studying surveillance video and are also communicating with Solovyov to find out if he received any threats or any warnings.

The publication also indicates that the journalist has three houses in Como worth € 8 million. The police believe that the attackers have a plan for the TV presenter’s real estate, since traces of an attempted entry were also found in another house – in Pianello del Lario, notes newspaper.
