East Flanders is groaning under flooding. The Dender region has been badly hit. Drone images show how the water has spread over a large area around the Leie, the Dender and around various non-navigable waterways. Residents try to protect their homes against the water with the help of sandbags, but for many they have to mop with the tap open.
