Running is more than just a sport-it can compensate for everyday hectic life, give new energy for body and mind or combine as a shared experience in running clubs. Her personal motives are as diverse as the runners.
With the “Get More from your run” campaign, Zalando focuses on these personal stories. The platform presents seven inspiring personalities who give insights into their very personal “why” and also the central question “What do I put on?” answer for your sporting challenges.
Personal stories that move
Marina Oertwich is 65 years old and works at Zalando. She discovered her passion for running at 44 – today she is about her 86th marathon and takes part in the marathon in Berlin for the 21st time in a row. What once started to spend more time in nature has not only given her physical strength and self -confidence, but also led her to running events around the world.
Djamila Böhm, professional athlete with a focus on the 400-meter route, also found more than just a training environment by joining a running club: she made new contacts-and got to know the love of her life.
Accompanying the “Get More from your Run” campaign, which will be shown from August 18 to September 21st via Tiktok, Meta, YouTube, Spotify, Ooh, Dooh and TV and was developed by the creative agency Anomaly, the Zalando Outlet Store in Tauentzienstraße in Berlin turns into Zalando Run Zone. There, runners can find the perfect shoe inside with running analysis stations, turn their equipment into a unique piece at a customization station and discover the diverse range of sports from Zalando.
As part of a Strava Challenge, Zalando calls for running enthusiasts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to collect donations for German sports aid with every kilometer run. In cooperation with Isla Coffee-an integral part of the running community-waiting for all successful participantsInside an exclusive “Runners Coffee”. Zalando is also present on Marathon Day itself: on the 32nd kilometer brand, the Zalando Cheer Zone together with Adidas ensures motivation and support-exactly where many runnersneed the last energy boost inside.
