The new episode opens with the return to the prosecutor’s office of Ippazio Calogiuri (Alessio Lapice). Everyone is in turmoil, including Imma (Vanessa Scalera), who however tries to conceal it. The marshal has just returned from a critical period. At the end of the second season he was involved in the attack in which Romaniello (Cesare Bocci) was killed. After the coma, he recovered, but now he is no longer the same as before.
Now he’s grumpy, sometimes uncomfortable, but basically he is obsessed with finding the culprit. He wants to know who shot Romaniello and, above all, how he knew that they would take a detour on the pre-established route. In the middle, the relationship with Imma. He fears he has lost her trust, but he still tries to express his doubts about the dynamics of the attack.
Tataranni, however, wants him to find the right serenity, without interfering with the judiciary’s investigations. However, Calogiuri does not follow his advice and carries out the research alone. Imma, then, has a further reason to understand what stage the recovery of the marshal’s memory is at. He doesn’t know what he remembers exactly and fears that the memory of their kiss and the very intense relationship they established over time might resurface in him. After all, when he was hospitalized she went to see him very often, regardless of even Pietro’s reaction.

Meanwhile Tataranni investigates a new case. The body of a boy from Matera was found in the ravine of Laterza, apparently from an overdose. For the occasion he collaborates with the Taranto prosecutor’s office and, as always, at his side is Calogiuri, who has a winning intuition, which allows the deputy prosecutor to track down the culprit.
Calogiuri’s return has effects on Imma, but also on Diana (Barbara Ronchi). During his absence, she assisted Tataranni in the investigation. AND Now she feels left out. Furthermore, she is focused on her private life. She signs up for a dating app and She dates several men. Unfortunately, the appointments all turn out to be failures.

It’s not a good time for Pietro (Massimiliano Gallo) either. Calogiuri’s presence again next to his wife makes him anxious. He is afraid that the relationship with the marshal could go beyond the professional sphere again feels threatened. «He came back different», Imma tells him. “Some things change you,” she replies. “We’ll have to see if it’s for better or worse,” concludes his wife. He spends a lot of time in the gym and in the company of Sara (Sara Drago), the paleontologist with whom he becomes friends. Thanks to her, he enrolled in a crime writing course.
Finally, he and Imma begin a new phase of family dynamics. Daughter Valentina (Alice Azzariti) has moved to Naples to attend university. And who knows how this experience away from home will go.
