Filming began on March 13 in Matera and they will go on for a few more weeks. The strictest secrecy is in force around the plot. It is not yet known what will happen and from where the investigations of the deputy prosecutor will resume. The second season finale opened a new page regarding the relationship between Imma and Pietro, the husband played by Massimiliano Gallo.
But what will become of marshal Ippazio Calogiuri (Alessio Lapice)? The almost entirely platonic liaison between Imma and the young colleague it spanned throughout the series, reaching a twist on the season 2 finale. When in the shootout in which Saverio Romaniello (Cesare Bocci) is involved, a bullet hits Calogiuri in the shoulder, e Imma rushes to the hospital accompanied by her husband.
Imma Tataranni 3 will it start from here? From Lapice who, back in shape, will be able to confront Imma, saying goodbye, or something else? Although there is no official confirmation on the cast, Alessio Lapice seems to be there: a few days ago he published on Instagram a photo in which he appears behind the camera, with the clothes-costumes of the series.

However, there is confirmation of Gianni Morandi’s entry into the cast. The singer will participate in one of 8 episodes, in what role is not yet knownwhether he will play himself or a character created by Mariolina Venezia, the author of the novels on which the series is based.
Rumors about his presence circulated immediately after his arrival in Matera, close to the Easter holidays. A coincidence? Not at all. The official announcement, in fact, came shortly after, when the cameras caught him on set with Vanessa Scalera and the rest of the crew.

There are roles that mark an actor’s career. Vanessa Scalera made her theater debut in 1996, at the age of 19. She meets cinema in 2001 with South Seasfollowed, among others, by WIN And Sleeping Beauty by Marco Bellocchio. In 2014 she is in the cast of Before leavingby Michele Placido, in 2015 by My motherby Nanni Moretti, and in 2018 Female nameby Marco Tullio Giordana.

However the consecration comes in 2019 with Imma Tataranni – Deputy Prosecutor. Imma is a strong-willed woman, but with a thousand facets. She is direct, naïve, proud of her funny and sometimes bizarre outfits.
And Scalera interprets it perfectly. She has managed to transfer to her alter ego such strength and sympathy as to make her one of the most loved characters in Italian series in recent years. After four years, the set is a second family for her and Matera is her second home. «I know the people, I’m fine. I am happy to stay here. And then she is so beautiful », she declared to TG1 at the start of filming.
