Imma Tataranni 2the plot of the second episode

The plot takes its cue from the functional renovation works at the opening of the jazz club. On Halloween evening Pietro (Massimiliano Gallo) shows Imma (Vanessa Scalera) the place where the bar will be built and, just as they are there, they hear two shots.

They see each other to understand what happened and see a woman dressed as Cruella De Vil, fleeing in an alley. The next morning the body of Luciano Ribba (Fabio Giacobbe Cursio), a real estate agent, is found. Based on initial research, it seems that the victim had to meet a mysterious woman, Assunta Volpe.

In the meantime, Imma, Pietro and their daughter Valentina (Alice Azzariti) have to face a small hitch. During a party organized by the girl, the apartment floods and they are forced to move to their paternal grandmother’s house. The relationship between Imma and her mother-in-law (Dora Romano) has never been idyllic. Indeed, their dialogue is a continuous repartee on the edge of sarcasm and intolerance.

Calogiuri begins a relationship with Jessica

Meanwhile, the deputy prosecutor continues to work closely with Calogiuri (Alessio Lapice). The first season ended with their kiss and subsequent departure of the marshal. When he returned to Matera, he confessed his feelings for her, but Tataranni rejected him and now he has to deal with life that goes on. Despite the suffering, in fact, Ippazio begins a relationship with his colleague Jessica Matarazzo (Ester Pantano).

The troubles didn’t end there. The trial against Saverio Romaniello (Cesare Bocci) goes on. In the hearing, her lawyer Giulia Pisapia (Giovanna Di Rauso) asks that the evidence be invalidated. The main witnesses, in fact, Don Mariano (Antonio Gerardi) and Antonio Scaglione, are deceased. Imma doesn’t react well and does everything to prove the accused’s guilt.

We then continue with the investigation into Ribba’s murder. Calogiuri discovers that Assunta Volpe is a fictitious name. Barbara De Luca (Margareth Madè) enters the scene, a charming lawyer who gives Imma the weapon with which Luciano was killed. He claims it is his and that he has obtained a regular firearms license to defend himself from a stalker. It is Assunta Volpe. She had made an appointment with the victim under a false name, to carry out some checks at Palazzo Sinagra on behalf of some clients.

Furthermore, he tells the deputy prosecutor that, when she realized she was no longer in possession of the weapon, she went back to look for it, but once she entered the building, she saw Ribba’s lifeless body and ran away out of fear. Actually, it turns out that Barbara and Luciano were lovers, but she didn’t kill him.

At this point, it is Girolamo Sinagra (Adriano Chiaramida), the owner of the building, who accuses himself of the murder, appealing to the fact that the victim had cheated him. However, the man’s version leaks from many sides and Imma continues to investigate and arrives to Ambra (Mary Di Tommaso), Luciano’s wife.

After having put her under pressure, but with the empathy and humanity of which she is capable, the woman confesses and tells her story. Luciano was with her out of guilt and not out of love. Blinded by her anger and disappointment, she fired two shots straight at her chest. She later vented to Girolamo, who decided to take the blame to save her.

The ending of the second episode of Imma Tataranni 2

Even on a personal level, Imma’s life is a continuous roller coaster. This time it’s Valentina who gives her a big headache. The daughter began dating Gabriele (Marcos Vinicius Piacentini), the son of the chief prosecutor Alessandro Vitali (Carlo Buccirosso). Unlike his father, a man in one piece focused on work, Gabriele is an activist, halfway between Greta Thunberg and Che Guevara.

He organizes a protest demonstration, in which Valentina also participates. Unfortunately for them, the police arrive and the two boys are taken to the barracks. For once, the Chief Prosecutor and the Deputy Prosecutor find themselves on the other side of the fence and because of their respective children.

Still, the story between Calogiuri and Jessica is going swimmingly. She introduces him to her parents and has big plans in store, including her brother’s wedding in Sicily. Imma notices it, but she can’t do anything to stop the marshal’s feelings. In the end, the renovation works are completed and Imma, Pietro and Valentina can finally return home.
