A video shows how 19-year-old Syrian Abdullah El Rustum is shot at the Bulgarian-Turkish border. It is the first time that it has been captured on camera how a refugee was injured by a firearm at a border of a member state of the European Union. It comes at a bad time for Bulgaria, as the country is currently trying to convince European heads of government to be admitted to the Schengen zone.
