“I’m not defending my son, but moderation in everything”

According to Hilkka Ahti, Jussi got into the media’s teeth because of his last name.

Bonnet and the middle of Matti Ahteen’s children, Jussiwas born in August 1980.

In the fall of 2002, Jussi caused his parents extra heart palpitations. He was at the police station in Pasila, where he called his mother.

Jussi wasn’t sure what he was suspected of, but guessed it was somehow related to drugs. It later turned out that the suspicion was related to the possible smuggling of drugs from Estonia.

– Jussi had been at home to spend the evening with his girlfriend at the time Susanna Tervaniemi with, when the police rushed in wearing bulletproof vests. A couple of cannabis sticks were found at home, but Jussi had never even been to Estonia. Later, there was a video clip taken at a house party in which Jussi ‘pulls the cook’s beak’, Hilkka recalls in her recent biography.

He suspects that the video was filmed with the intention of extortion. It spread to the public in the news of MTV. and Nelonen. It turned out that the police had been tapping Jussi’s phone for eight months.

– Jussi had to suffer badly for his last name. The media picked up on the story immediately, and he was branded a drug criminal. Jussi also received death threats and was beaten once because he was suspected of leaking dangerous information in the drug gangs. He didn’t have them, but there’s no playing around with drug gangs, Hilkka says in the book.

In the trial, which was held in the spring of 2003, Jussi was convicted of drug use and distribution.

Jussi was sentenced to pay a hundred daily fine. On the day before the parliamentary elections, it was written in the newspapers that Jussia could face up to a year in prison. It did not make Hilka and Mati’s electoral work easier in the spring 2003 parliamentary elections.

– By no means am I defending my son, but moderation in everything. Jussi sold magazines for many months, although only the main perpetrators of the case received long prison sentences. Their names or faces did not appear in any of the stories, Hilkka states in her biography.

Hilkka considers it a blessing in the end that Jussi was caught and as a result changed the direction of his life completely.

After the trial, Jussi trained as a diving instructor in Thailand. Nowadays, she lives a healthy organic life and organizes love retreats all over Finland.
