Frans Duijts is annoyed by the criticism that he is a showpiece. The folk singer does not stop talking about all his riches in the media, but he himself does not see that as bragging behavior.
Celebrities like to flaunt their wealth, but most of them pretend not to notice. Then, for example, they post an Insta photo when they are on their way and the steering wheel with the logo of their Porsche is just in the picture. Or they say that they wanted to go to a concert so much that they mistakenly bought twenty very expensive tickets.

Frans Duijts is the exception to the rule. He just flaunts his luxury life. Then he appears again in a banger worth the value of a terraced house, then he proudly tells how he teaches his daughters not to be ashamed of luxury goods and then Frans eagerly shouts that he pays 2,000 euros a month in energy costs.
So a few weeks ago, Frans was again being very fussy. He had to say in the talk show HLF8 that he had bought a Rolex for his wife. “You have to tickle your wife from time to time.”
The latter still sounds like a plausible make-up for someone who has to listen to Frans’ singing all the time, but couldn’t it all be a little less?

Frans himself doesn’t see himself as a brat at all, he says The Friday Move. “Ah, boy. Doesn’t that drive you crazy? Yes, but well, if you say these days: ‘I live detached’, then you are already a brat. It’s all fine with me, Wilfred. Yes fine. They just watch it. They’ll figure it out!”
Frans is just good at making money, he thinks. “I am always into the trade. I also do demolition, all kinds of trade and walking. You can come to me for everything. Whether you are looking for a bit of wood or a bit of iron or you want something demolished.”
Very chic
Nowadays, Frans is also involved in men’s jewelry. He tries to coddle host Wilfred Genee with a bracelet of black pearls and silver. “A man cannot carry very much. I find a watch and a beautiful bracelet very cool and very chic on a man. I know Wilfred is a big fan of that.”
Maybe Frans can do one himself. At least there is still something chic about him.
