Ilya Kovaltshuk demands the World Hockey Championships in Russia

Russia was kicked in the yard at next spring’s World Hockey Championships as the country launched an offensive war in Ukraine.

Russian team GM’s Ilya Kovaltshuk however, we think our eastern neighbor should be allowed to hold the World Cup next year as planned.

According to the former puck star, no one yet knows how next year’s World Cup will be.

– It all depends on the situation in the world. Unfortunately, we cannot influence this in any way, and we really hope that we will be able to hold the World Cup.

According to Kovaltshuk, in 2018, Russia showed how well the country can organize big value tournaments. At that time, the World Cup was played in Russia.

– Everyone was happy about it. I’m sure there would be equally good races in hockey.
