The league’s Saturday evening started unusually already at 3 pm with the Ilves–Jukurit match. Both teams scored evenly in the first match of the day at the Nokia Arena.
Joona Ikonen scored the 16th hit of the season in the first inning. Ilves was already in a 3–1 lead, but the people from Mikkeli tenaciously leveled at the end of the second period with two power play goals.
Both teams scored once in the final set, which meant overtime. Otto Mäkinen the game freeze at the end of the set was fatal, because Les Lancaster punished the victory for Ilves 4–3 after a minute of overtime.
Markus Oden scored Jukuride’s two goals. The most effective of the match was Petri Kontiolawho scored four goals.
