Ilse DeLange does not even hear from Duncan Laurence during the mega riot

Ilse DeLange even hears nothing from Duncan Laurence during the current media row about the Eurovision entry Mia & Dion. “I haven’t spoken to him in a very long time.”

Duncan Laurence owes his entire career to Ilse DeLange, who put him forward for the Eurovision Song Contest, which he eventually won. Now the singer herself has guided two talents through the selection committee of the song festival: Mia & Dion. They are currently discredited because they sing extremely out of tune.

‘No quarrel’

Many people wonder why Duncan doesn’t call for Ilse’s emergency help, but this week it turned out that the two have no contact at all. Normally Dutch celebrities play nice weather, but Ilse’s management stated bluntly: “There is little contact with Duncan.”

Ilse now confirms this herself in front of the camera RTL Boulevard. “I have indeed not spoken to him for a very long time, but that does not always mean that there is a fight, people.”

‘Not unnatural’

The fact that they haven’t spoken to each other for ‘a very long time’ proves that Duncan doesn’t feel like calling Ilse even during this turbulent period. There may not be any quarrels, but certainly not warm ties. And that is quite ungrateful from Duncan towards the woman to whom he owes everything.

The singer keeps it neat: “I don’t have a fight. It is of course known: we do not really have contact with each other. That is also just something that is not unnatural at all.”

‘Duncan too big’

How come, according to Ilse, that they have lost sight of each other? “At a certain point, of course, Arcade has also become so big. Other people and other parties had to be involved, who could really help him further than I could. And that is good.”

She concludes: “He’s going his way and I wish him the best, but that doesn’t mean we’re still on the phone.”

What does Angela think?

Angela de Jong has the idea that Duncan has started walking next to his shoes. She says in the AD Media podcast: “Then you get a video of that Duncan. I thought he was cute at first, but how he is now that video speaks… Well, look at his eyes. They are very blurry and he has a very strange smile on his face all the time.”

“He also speaks it as if he just memorized it first, of what he had to say again. And: ‘It’s going super well, we have the best people for them, it’s going to be all right!’ Check out the whole bingo card. I do wonder a bit what has happened to that guy in recent years since his victory.”
