Illegal fireworks found in minor’s bedroom

The police found a large amount of illegal fireworks in a house in Gemert on Wednesday morning. The fireworks were in the bedroom of a minor, a local police officer reported. The police also made a particularly explosive discovery in another bedroom.

A self-made explosive was found in another bedroom. The police officer then called in more help. A police explosives scout arrived, as did an ambulance and fire brigade. The police officer calls it ‘violent and life-threatening.’

Anonymous tip
The explosive was taken by the EOD and detonated in a controlled manner in a safe location. The fireworks were confiscated and the owner received a report.

The police discovered the fireworks thanks to an anonymous tip.
