A scary moment was seen in the Conference League match between Hungary’s Fehervar and Azerbaijan’s Gabala, when Gabala Ilkin Qirtimov passed out in the middle of the match. Among other things, they reported on the matter Marca mixed Blick.

Gabalan Qirtimov jumped into the main ball situation, but hit his head into the same situation to Marcel Heister.

Qirtimov, 31, briefly lay on the ground holding his face until he lost consciousness.

Gabala’s captain Asif Mammadov quickly noticed that Qirtimov couldn’t catch his breath. Mammadov motioned to the medical staff on the spot and grabbed Qirtimov’s tongue so he wouldn’t choke on it.

When the medical staff arrived, Mammadov placed his teammates in a circle as a visual barrier while Qirtimov was treated on the field.

Qirtimov was carried off the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. He underwent several tests and his life is not in danger. Gabala announced on his Twitter account Qirtimov traveled with the team back to Azerbaijan.

Mammadov’s actions have garnered praise. Mammadov acted quite similarly in a tight situation as Simon Kjaer In the European Championship match against Finland, just over a year ago. Then Christian Eriksen limped onto the field in the middle of the match. Kjaer ran to Eriksen and grabbed his tongue so Eriksen wouldn’t choke on it.

Kjaer also instructed the other Danish players to form a circle around Eriksen as a visual barrier.

Fehervar won the first leg of the second qualifying round between the teams 4–1. The teams will meet next Thursday.
