– Football player, player, golfer, competitor, figure skating athlete, trainer… What is İlhan Mansız doing these days, what is his next goal?
Shall we say a very complex biography? I love sports very much, I have a fighting spirit. That includes Survivor. Because there, you compete with the other team every week or every day, you struggle. I never thought of coaching. But when the offer came from Beşiktaş, of course, I accepted it without thinking. Actually, I was thinking of going to a very different place in my career planning. If I had stayed away from injuries until 35-38, I would have developed myself in this field by playing football and then as a football branch manager or sporting director. I studied sports management at St Gallen University. For now, I have a football-related project, I have in mind a project that can guide and mentor a new generation. I’m thinking of putting such a project into practice if it’s conditional.
