According to information received by Iltalehti, Hyundai, which is participating in the World Rally Championship, is completely revamping the operations of its team that drives rally2 cars.

In the light of current information, it is possible that the Korean team will completely withdraw from the project of its “second cars” from the wall of management.

The Estonian RedGray Team, led by Ott Tänak and Marko Märtin. However, the cooperation is ending this season, probably as a result of Tänak’s contentious departure from the team in the middle of the contract period.

According to IL’s information, the cars are currently for sale. If the cars end up around the world at different addresses, it means that Hyundai will stop the full-scale development of the car that saw the light of day last year.

When it came to fruition, the information was very unfortunate news Teemu Suninen. A big driving program and responsibility has been planned for the Finnish driver in the development work of the Hyundai i20 N Rally 2 car.

In addition to WRC2 races, Suninen has gained the opportunity to drive random rallies with Hyundai equipment in the main Rally1 category.

A more comforting option would be to look for a continuation of Hyundai’s rally2 project with a new team. Thinking about the next season, however, the cooperation patterns should be finalized quickly.

The Rally2 class will be strengthened next season with Toyota. The Japanese brand will present its new equipment this coming weekend in connection with its home rally.

Before the start of the season, IL listed five turps from the World Rally Championship year 2022. How many hit?
