Cross-country skiing star Iivo Niskanen took part in a 12-minute running test in Vieremä on Friday.

Niskanen ran 4,130 meters in 12 minutes.

Niskanen ran the entire distance as an endurance runner Mikko Kauppinen with. Kauppinen’s result was 4,120.

The two ran the test at breakneck speed. Niskanen and Kauppinen switched turns a few times, but at a good 10 minutes, Niskanen started Kiri and left Kauppin a little behind.

However, the shopkeeper caught up with the skier and passed. In the very last seconds, Niskanen got up past Kemppainen and raised his hand.

The combined Ilkka Herola also participated in the test. In the end, Herola’s result was about 3,750 meters.
