The world handball association IHF excludes all Russian and Belarusian teams, referees and officials from its events.
The IHF announced on Monday evening that the sanctions already imposed by the European federation EHF in response to the war against Ukraine would be extended to the whole world with immediate effect.
This has direct consequences for Russia, for example, due to the disqualification from the World Cup for U20 and U18 juniors.
